Hi there peepz...

I know I've just been doing Oh My Sides all the time... because I just get bored and I like funny stuff its a crime I know but what u going to do, NOTHING THAT'S WHAT! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Well I have been searching around and i have found one that really interested me its like Abduzeedo but its layed out in a different way it is a french site but i got the English version its really cool has the lastest graphic work and some photos that the photographers will like.

I know An another one on the same day only because when i did #3 it reminded me of a movie i just saw it was Called The Hangover and that my friends was the funniest film of 2009 so far and DEFIANTLY in my top 10 funniest film Hands Down so i pick one of the funniest bit in the movie it made me laugh should make you laugh

Today's Open Your Mind is an Artist... but not just any Artist a Comic Book Artist

His name is...

FRANK MILLER

(^ That's Him ^)

My Personal Hero and ONE of my Favourite Artist of all time Seriously I kiss the ground that this man walks on?!?! (Stalkerish Sentence I know) but he has change everything I do in doodling and drawing characters... He (in my own mind) is the best Black and White Drawer of all time and the best still in the world...

Claim To Fame:

Frank Miller, along with Alan Moore, is credited with helping the birth of the dark and gritty comic book with the graphic novel, “The Dark Knight Returns,” which he wrote and drew. It has been hailed as one of the greatest Batman tales of all time.

Bio:

Frank Miller burst onto the comic book scene with his work on Daredevil, for Marvel comics. He started out as an artist for the series but within 10 issues progressed to both writer and artist. It was during this run that he created the character Elektra, one of the now more popular characters of the Daredevil universe. It was Millers’ work on Daredevil that made him famous, but it would be his work on another property that would make him a legend.

First with Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and later with Batman: Year One, Frank Miller both rewrote continuity and changed how many comic book would be done in the future. His gritty, dark, and ultimately realistic portrayal of the Batman character paved the way for comic books that would be geared toward adults with a mature theme. These two works have been critically acclaimed have continued to sell well for the past twenty years.

Later, Miller went to the publisher Dark Horse for his future projects due to a battle over censorship with DC Comics. It would be at Dark Horse that he published first a Sin City short series and later graphic novels in a noir style that captured the dark, grimy, and evil town known as Basin City, Sin City to its inhabitants. The graphic novels have since been adapted into movies, with Frank Miller helping to direct the new franchise.

Miller has since returned to DC with a sequel to The Dark Knight Returns, a retelling and updating of the Batman story with the All-Star line, and with an upcoming Batman tale about the Dark Knight facing off against Al-Qaeda. Frank Miller continues to show his creativity and love for comics in many ways and will not just be remembered for his work on Batman, but for his great body of work that has contributed a great deal to the comic book world.

Just Brilliant!... because you should think its going to be colourful gritty comic book but wen you open it its just black and white drawings and with one colour maybe in a scene Just Brilliant...

If you haven't heard about Mr Frank Miller YOU MUST find him a look at him because if you like comic book drawing and your bored of DC and Marvel (not saying there bad but i love this book) YOU HAVE TO RESEARCH HIM...

Great Images, A real page turner just to see whats going to be next...

My College Work (part 3)

STARPACK: Ice Squeeze

This is a Industry Brief Called STARPACK its a competition for all the graphic designers to do Packaging and if you win you would either get Money, a chance to work on the packaging being made and produced, trips, vouchers and other cool prizes.
U have a certain time on it U have to design the box and MAKE IT AS WELL!

Hard Task for any young designers...
Designing the packaging is hard enough but whilst u design u will have to make it Also it has to look professionally printed out, with a net of the packaging and how it looks stocked on shelves
Pretty tall order...
OHHHHH so getting it printed out with time to spare make the packaging was very hard...

BUT AS THE BEST GRAPHIC DESIGNER IN THE WHOLE COUNTY (yeah right) IT WAS EASY FOR ME (not)

Major props to me Teacher Malcolm and Celeste helped me to the brink of Collapse...

RATE THEM TO HIGH HEAVEN

The brief was to "Redesign an Original Packaging and make it better"

So I thought to myself what really need a new design... (thinking).... ... (still thinking)... ... (ARGGHHH STILL THINKING)... EUREKA!!! I'VE GOT IT!!!

WALLS ICE CREAM!! Perfect!!

So Designing my Arse off and made the best damn packaging i could come up with...

AND THIS IS IT!

Hard To See but that's basically my design and how to use it took me ages but I like it i did have another images but once again computer screwing up again but wen I sort it out I will put it on I swear!

Its Called Ice Squeeze and its "A Squeezable Way To Eat Ice Cream"
Basically its like a piping bag but instead of icing it Ice Cream u squeeze it out then put it back into the icing bag its a funnier way to make ice cream and it environmentally friendlt everything recyclable and re-usable also.

DIDN'T WIN AGAIN typical but you cant win them all and next year gonna win them all trust me.

My College Work (part 2)

YCN: Kleenex - Persuade Young Men to Buy and Use More Tissues

This was the brief i was doing for YCN...

YCN is a competition brief that most Foundation Degree (BA Hons, MA etc) you get a YCN book and it has all the winner from last year and all the new briefs in the back its such a cool book and the briefs in the back on them are pretty damn good lol...

Like i've said I did a brief that Kleenex wanted it was to persuade young men to buy and use more tissues...

I had some weird ideas and I had some Great ideas (of course)
This is the idea I had done and put in to the competition...

Basically my idea is WITH THIS KLEENEX... There famous tissues and everytime you pick one out theres a famous tissue quote on them...

HARD TO SEE but it says "With This Kleenex Ozzy Osbourne wiped his mouth after biting the head off of a Bat"

My College Work (Finally)

4 the past couple of week i've been slacking putting up my work on...

Some days I couldn't b bothered to put it on...
and others my comp was so slow that I thought a tortoise was running in a hamster wheel...

but dont sweat it any more SOME of my work is going on but not my final major piece just because I need 2 take pics of them then put them on comp LONG!!! (wiv my comp ne ways)

NUMBER 1: HIPs (logo design)
Basically are group had 2 design a logo for a a new company, HIPs means Home Information Pack so if you are going to buy a house then the person selling house has to get one to tell the people who are buying the house any thing wrong with the maintances, or boiler etc.

The logo had to have sunflowers or flowers, bright colours and had to be about HIPs.

We all did about 4 each of us...
some people Were good, some peoples Were great...

WELL one of us did win and he had a chance to but he "SLIPPED UP" didn't go to any meeting, didn't call so major bad 4 him... BUT NOT 4 ME!

I was in the right place at the right time because I just got into college and our tutor Malcolm saw me grabs me and goes to me your doing the HIPs thing now

SHOCKED!!! :-0

but i had to his design, not one of mine... SHOCKED AGAIN:-0 I didn't care i had something coming out of it in the end so BOOOO YA!

BUT i havent got the final one i will find it and puttin on there 4 everyone to see
